Vetevendosje goes against the Serbian church: Trying to change history

The Vetevendosje movement, through a public reaction, denouncing what it describes as the effort of Serbian church clergymen, Bishop Amfilohije Radovic respectively, to adopt Albanian cultural and historical heritage. “Alfilohije and other clergymen have planned to keep liturgy in the ruins of the Illyrian city and later araber, Shass, with the provocative claim that [...]
“Amfilohije and other clerics have planned to keep liturgy in the ruins of the Illyrian city and later Arab, Shass, with the provocative claim that Albanians are Muslims, and the ruins of churches in Shas thus belong to the Serbian Church. This essence of Albanians is both provocative and unacceptable. Part of the historical and current Albanian identity is also the material and spiritual heritage of the three religions that have had and still have Albanians, namely Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Muslimism, including Sufist brotherhoods, such as Bektas etc”, said in Vetevendosje's response.
“Yamam, tets, churches, temples, be they still in use, or ruins of ancient times, were built by Albanians and their ancestors, and served the same. So any claim to present them as property or heritage to another nation is unacceptable and anti-historic. It's just an attempt to present Albanians as future, without the legacy of a historical personal contribution”, is further said in response.
Vetevendosje says it joins protests by residents of Shasi, Anna of Mali and Ulcinj municipality.
“We demand that the government of Montenegro, but also that of Kosovo and Albania do not allow such provocations and embezzlements of our national heritage”, said at the end of the VV response.
