Thaci says he asked her during a brief meeting under the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's inauguration ceremony.
In a Facebook report, Thaci has said he has informed Medvedev of developments in Kosovo and the region. Thaci says they have agreed that Kosovo's eventual agreement will bring peace to the Western Balkans.
On this occasion, I asked Prime Minister Medvedev to establish initial communication between our two countries. We also talked about the final phase of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and we agreed that the eventual agreement would bring lasting peace to the Western Balkans”, Thaci wrote.
