President Hashim Thaci in a conversation with Pristina University students has discussed recent developments, primarily about dialogue with Serbia.
He has said that interests in Europe are changing, so Kosovo and Serbia need to reach an agreement.
The final agreement is to be mutual recognition between the two countries, as independent and sovereign countries. We are aware of the sensitivity of these” talks, Thaci said, broadcast Periscopi.
Thaci says that if no agreement is reached, then the risks will still be conflict and casualties.
Then there are risks for problems, conflicts, victims, even conflicts, completely unnecessary. We have no claims to enter Serbia, but we will not allow Serbia to enter Kosovo”, he said.
For the visas, he said his famous statement that it was not a gift from Europe but we deserved it.
The world is changing, in the sense that it will not always be focused solely on us. Interests are changing. What's vital to us, the Western orientation to keep it as a value, not just an interest. It wasn't a gift from Europe, we deserved”, he said.
He said he does not believe that after the liberalisation, there will be goodwill of Kosovo citizens.
I am convinced there will be no migration from Kosovo. We need to inform people exactly what liberalisation means. We don't need to scare Europeans. We can move through Europe but our country is Kosova”, he has said.
“War does not require anyone, I think we should all work for peace. I'm determined this will happen. If we reach final agreement with Serbia. We'll share sugar chess with Serbia. If we reach the agreement that will be very strong, we will reach concrete European perspective”, he said. /Periscope.
