She has said she believes the visa liberalisation decision will happen by the end of her mandate at the European Parliament.
In a proposal given to Deutsche Welle, she says there are no more excuses or delays, if such a thing happens by then according to her winner will be all.
According to Fajon, it will make the decision to vote immediately after summer holidays in the European Parliament's Community for Civil, Justice and Home Affairs.
In the last week of August, I expect colleagues to follow my recommendation. We've worked hard in this direction and every step is important. If everything works as planned, we'll have the vote in the Plenum most likely in September. That's what I want. Kosovo deserves visa liberalisation, especially young people deserve better prospects.
Among other things, Fajon says it is in the hands of the European Parliament and the governments of EU countries to accept the recommendation given, while the European Commission has praised the efforts of Kosovo institutions.
However, the rapporteur for visa liberalisation with Kosovo in the European Parliament, Tanja Fajon, expects the governments of EU member states to respond responsibly.
Among other things, it advises the Kosovo side to continue dialogue with Brussels and the EU capitals to receive strong support and their confidence in the final decision on visa liberalisation.
This is the key to success. Kosovo needs to maintain credibility and build strong alliances with EU countries and its institutions.
The European Parliament elections are held from May 23rd to May 26th 2019.
