Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Kujtim Gashi has met today the new FFK chairman, Agim Ademi, where they later visited the city stadium in Pristina, which will most likely be called Stadium “Fadil Vokri”.
Both Kosovo Football Federation Chairman Agim Ademi and the minister have promised that Pristina stadium will be ready in September for Kosovo's matches in the League of Nations.
Minister Gashi said there has been a big deal, and very soon the Kosovo representative's matches are expected to take place in this stadium.
My every day of work every hour has been part of my commitment to finalising this capital project, which is for football in Kosovo. You see for yourself that a great job has been done, perhaps, one of the most beautiful stadiums perhaps in the region, and I am extremely happy that we have come to the conclusion of this project. You know we've publicly given some promises about this project, and there's a lot of skeptics behind it, but we're at the bottom of the part when there's still a few days left until the match's development in this” stadium, Gashi said.
While Kosovo Football Federation Chairman Agim Ademi thanked Minister Gashi for the dedication and work done so these works can be done as soon as possible.
This is a pleasure to have a miracle happening for football, which is actually extremely devoted to making the entire state especially the minister who is here, and I take the opportunity to thank him very much on my behalf and the Executive Committee for this dedication to this stadium, which is conditional on holding matches with our national teams”, Ademi claimed.
Pristina Stadium is expected to be ready in early September, while a 28th match will be held for testing July, but it is most likely that even before this date will be a match for testing among Kosovo's known public faces.
While the stadium's name is expected to be Fadil Vokrri, but those who will decide are the Assembly of the Communists, since the property of this stadium belongs exactly to the Pristina municipality.
