Political subjects, despite the meetings, have not yet reached an agreement about the dialogue process with Serbia.
It has been the Democratic Party of Kosovo, which has proposed a platform about this process, which includes the principles of negotiating with Serbia, the composition and structure of the negotiating team, KTV reports.
President Hashim Thaci and the Kosovo government have in principle welcomed this PDK concept.
The presidence welcomes and appreciates any ideas, proposal or document aimed at building political consensus within the process of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Therefore, we consider this document a well-intented effort, which may serve parliamentary political parties as a good basis for building much needed political consensus. However, time is running fast and opposition political parties are being delayed unwarrantedly to become part of the dialogue process. We still expect them to be united in matters of national interest”, Bekim Colak, head of the Cabinet at the President's Office, said.
Even Donjeta Gashi on behalf of the Kosovo government has said he expects a team to be formed as comprehensively for dialogue with Serbia.
But the opposition continues to remain determined not to accept President Hashim Thaci to lead with the final phase of this process.
From the Vetevendosje Movement have warned more frequent meetings during the week among opposition subjects so that, as they have said, they can agree on creating a joint document on this process.
Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj, who along with President Thaci and Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini, will meet the European Union's High Representative, Federica Moghrini, in Brussels, says a consensus of the entire political spectrum is needed.
Limaj says his subject is for dialogue, and for who should lead, according to him, it should be decided after the negotiating team is formed.
Besides Limaj, at Wednesday's meeting with Moger, there will be deputy prime ministers Behgjet Pacolli and Dardan Gashi.
Limaj has said that at this meeting the topic of discussion will only be the process of visa liberalisation, until the president, within the dialogue, is expected to meet separately with counterpart Aleksandar Vuciq.
