The Arsenal midfielder, through an open letter published in his Instagram account, has announced that he has decided to retire from international football.
Before announcing the departure from Germany's National Council, Ozil has also clarified the highly controversial meeting with Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdogan, in May, for which the meeting has been highly criticised by German media.
