Model 3 prototype had its premiere in the US in the spring of 2016, and the European public will see this car on the ground for the first time two years later.
During Goodwood's weekend, a copy of Tesla's cheapest model will be displayed for visitors. Although this event is located on the island, the car will have a steering wheel on the left, meaning that it is a version for the continental part of Europe.
The production of Model 3 for markets in countries where they head the left side of the road, such as Great Britain and Australia, will begin only in 2019. Model 3 should be available to European customers in all options available in the United States, including two versions with two electric engines, but also the basic, cheaper option, which is not yet available.
The price of cars in Europe has not been announced so far, but the US's 3 most present model will cost $35,000, not counting state subsidies.
Otherwise, the first model will be enabled by two electric engines with greater driving autonomy and speed up 0-96km/h for 4.5 seconds. In the second version, the focus will be on performance, so it will be able to reach 96 km/h per 3.5 seconds at a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
