The baby girl's father, Bledar Helm, from the village of Belesov of Berat, says there is no financial opportunity to attend his daughter's treatment because he is unemployed and has two more adult children to support. According to him, the first medicines for treatment cost about $15,000, which he cannot afford to secure because he is in a very difficult economic situation. Asked what he would do if the hospital did not offer free medicine, Blidar says he has no chance and hopes for the humanitarianism of doctors, who, according to the indictment, still have not treated the infant girl who comes from a poor family.
