But despite that, according to the Government of Kosovo, of which the Initiative is part, Fatmir Limaj will go Wednesday, along with other members of office and Thaci, to the High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica Moghrini. The official announcement of the Prime Minister's Office says that today the leaders of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo -- President Hashim Thaci, Chief Parliamentary Kadri Veselini, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Deputy Prime Ministers Behgjet Pacolli, Fatmir Limaj and Dardan Gashi -- to decide together Wednesday, 18 July to meet Mogher in Brussels.
According to the announcement, they would even say Mogherin is also committed to Kosovo's institutions for the opposition's involvement in dialogue, respectively.
Among the most critics against Thaci at the head of the dialogue has been Chairman of the National Initiative for Kosovo Council Jakup Krasniqi. In one column, Krasniqi had written that <x0 he is not prepared to defend the interests of the nation, deal with agriculture and livestock”.
The former chairman of the Parliament had said that national interest should be duty and priority in any kind of representation of the country.
“Politically it should not be taken, it or those that do not have the clear vision for its nation and state”, Krasniqi wrote on Facebook.
He went on to say that whoever is not prepared to defend the interests of the people and the state of Kosovo should deal with agriculture and livestock.
“Padia, indecision and greed to appear “cooperative”, even with a snare or anyone else will inevitably lead to national treason! And national treason is not easily repaired, we Albanians at least know how we paid this in our new history! And it shouldn't in any way be repeated in”, Krasniqi says, among other things. Meanwhile, the head of the Parliamentary Initiative Group, Bilall the Sheriff, in an interactive KTV, had declared that this party is against the idea that President Hashim Thaci will lead the final phase in dialogue with Serbia.
The sheriff, he also said Thaci was in government “has testified that he does not know how to dialogue”, and, as he has said, would bring Kosovo harmful agreements.
Yesterday, heads of state had gathered without the initiative. President Thaci was the host of the meeting with Prime Minister Veselin and Prime Minister Haradinaj, who for the last phase of dialogue with Serbia, formed a negotiating team. Meanwhile, Social Democrat Initiative officials, part of the ruling coalition, have told KTV is unaware that the negotiating team for dialogue has been formed.
Portal Koha.net has tried to speak to Limaj and Krasniqi, but access to both has been impossible.
MP Enver Hoti has spoken, who has said that why Limaj was at that meeting, does not imply that the Initiative changes its attitude towards Thaci.
“This meeting is with heads of state, must also be participating Limaj, but this does not mean that the Initiative will change position”, he said.
The deputy of the Enver Hoti Initiative, in a response to Koha.net, said they stand behind earlier statements that this party does not want Thaci negotiator in talks with Serbia. Hoti also said that at Wednesday's meeting with Moghrin, where Fatmir Limaj will be, other parties' positions, including the opposition, will be discussed.
There can be no dialogue without the opposition, that's my attitude. All must be discussed initially in parliament”, he said.
For now, the opposition remains opposed to involvement in the dialogue. Prime Minister Haradinaj had said he is seeing signals from the LDK and PSD to move towards involvement in the dialogue. The LDK had immediately exposed this, while the PSD has even called an extraordinary session as an attempt to stop Thaci at the head of negotiations on what is being described as the final phase of the dialogue. Vetevendosje remains steadfast against the way Kosovo has consistently dialogueed with Serbia.
On the other hand, President Thaci has announced that at the upcoming meeting with President Vuciq on July 18th, general lines orientation and the dynamics of the latest phase of dialogue will be discussed.
