Mehmedovic was buried near Srebrenica, in eastern Bosnia, where the worst massacre in Europe has occurred since World War II.
Mehmedovic's husband, two sons and her brother are among about 8,000 Muslim men and boys who were killed by Bosnian Serb forces, led by then General Ratko Mladic.
Last year, the International War Crimes Tribunal has sentenced Mladic to life imprisonment for genocide and crimes against humanity, including those in Srebrenica.
Srebrenica mothers have been praised for their efforts to bring those responsible for the massacre to justice. / REL
