It was announced at this ceremony that 51 military vehicles will be for Kosovo. In the case of signing the agreement, Prime Minister Haradinaj said the KSF is being modernised by military means.
“KSF is a comprehensive professional body. Today we are witnessing that KSF is being modernised by military means. This shows that this force is being done according to NATO requirements. The transformation will be fully co-ordinated with our allies. The KSF is all living in Kosovo, Albanians, Serbs and all living in Kosovo”, he said.
KSF Minister Rrustem Berisha said supply with these vehicles would enable modernisation of KSF equipment.
“Today is a special day for the ministry and the KSF because supply of tactical vehicles that will be in the service of KSF is of particular importance affecting the establishment of KSF capacities. These vehicles we are introducing today enable modernisation of KSF equipment that will serve KSF in the implementation of its” mission, Berisha said.
US Ambassador Greg Delaway said happy that the Kosovo Security Force would be equipped with military vehicles produced in the US.
These cars have a long history and are in service longer than 30 years. They are already a symbol and I am very happy that Kosovo has selected these” cars, Delawi said.
