The problem of the border line with Serbia in the village of Karachev has been re-established in recent days, however, it is expected to be only one of about 200 border disputes Kosovo will have with its northern neighbour during border demarcation. According to MPs, nearly 170 owners were even submitted to this village alone, who complain about the fate of their property.
The deployment of a border table by KFOR in the village of Karacheva in Kamenica has disturbed residents of this village, although KFOR has clarified that it is not about border movement, but that it has only replaced the old table, Zeri writes.
MPs from the Kosovo Assembly on Sunday have visited Karacheva and say 170 to 180 owners have expressed their concerns about the fate they will have after demarcation of the border with Serbia, which is expected to take place after the arrival of the final Kosovo agreement, writes further “Zri”.
However, the border dispute in Karachev is expected to be only one of about 200 border disputes that will be between Kosovo and Serbia.
Despite that, the Government Commission for Maintainment and Border Mark has told the newspaper “Voice” that they have studied the border line with Serbia well and are well prepared for the issue.
