Militants of the Islamic State group are holding hostage over 30 women and children in southwest Syria, said the Syrian Human Rights Monitor, the group monitoring the war in Syria.
The hostages are believed to have been taken during the Islamic State attacks last week in an area dominated by the ethnic minority Druse in the Suveida region.
At least 215 people were killed in suicide attacks there.
The Syria government controls most of the region, while the Islamic State holds a small part.
Russia-backed Syrian Army has recently launched a campaign to regain control of areas by jihadists and rebels.
Syrian Human Rights Monitor said at least 36 women and children were kidnapped by the Islamic State.
According to reports, some women have managed to leave, while two have died.
The Islamic State has not yet spoken of these kidnappings.
Drouts are the third largest religious minority in Syria.
