Haradinaj said it is a pleasure to welcome for the second time a respected Kosovo friend, but now on a very important mission in the quality of USAID director.
“For the people of Kosovo and its institutions, name of USAID means a lot. The American people were with the people of Kosovo since the beginning of our efforts to build the state, and today we are celebrating the continuation of this friendly co-operation and partnership”, Haradinaj said.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Haradinaj said that partnership with the US will continue at all levels, thanking the people on behalf of permanent friendship between the two peoples.
The American people via U AID has left traces in all aspects of the development and creation of the state of Kosovo, beginning with key institutions of executive, rule of law and democracy, continuing with economic growth and social inclusion”, Haradinaj said, adding that they expect continued fruitful co-operation with the new leader of this mission, in the agenda of reforms, economic development and particularly in the Law Rule sector.
In his address, Ambassador Delaway expressed praise for Magno's professional skills shown during her term in Kosovo as deputy director of the U mission.AID, as well as its previous work with USAID in the Philippines, Guatemala, Afghanistan and most recently in Washington, where it served in the quality of the programme watchdog and task manager for the European and Eurasian Office.
Ambassador Delaway highlighted USAID's role in Kosovo's development through its partnerships with the Government of Kosovo and civil society organisations for strengthening the political and justice system in the country, building stable institutions, promoting a dynamic civil society and economic development.
He added that he sees a bright future for the USAID mission in Kosovo under the leadership of Magnos.
