The 80-year-old, like the rest of the country, has expressed his willingness to support the Grujre Southgate players to repeat Sir Alf Ramsey's success more than half a century ago.
If they do, Banks expects Southgate and other players to enjoy all the privileges of the English state.
“I hope that if they achieve that success, the British Federation will treat them better than they did with us. They deserve it. The British Federation had done nothing for us”, he told “Daily Telegraph”, the Periscopi broadcast.
