Daciq sees dreams with open eyes, says US already supports Serbian politics

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said the US has a new constructive solution to the Kosovo issue, and that this new approach represents a major change. “This means that the door is open to seek a new compromise solution for which the United States does not [...]
“This means that the door is open to seek a new compromise solution for which the United States was not ready in recent years, because they thought the issue was closed”, Dacic told reporters in Belgrade.
He noted that this is a positive change and that the US is open to support dialogue and to achieve a compromise solution, and in that sense to support the efforts Serbia makes, said “Novost”, Periscopi broadcast.
“They strongly support dialogue and our efforts to compromise. This is a big change”, Dachic said.
He noted that this could positively affect the further course of negotiations, because American support -- as well as other major countries within the EU -- gives a positive incentive to successfully conclude this dialogue.
The problem is Pristina's unwillingness to accept this compromise solution, but I think it's clear to all that their policy has failed. Serbia has shown its goodwill and Pristina is on line to show if it wants a compromise,” he said.
Asked whether one of the solutions is the partition of Kosovo, Dacic said he was not talking about it now.
“On the other hand, modes will be discussed only,” he said.
US Ambassador. BA Kyle Scott has told reporters that the American position was and still is to have a lasting solution for Kosovo and that solution to be found through Belgrade and Pristina talks.
“Any agreement between Belgrade and Pristina we are willing to take with a positive”, Scott said./Periscopi/
