Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, under her official visit to Albania, has given a welcoming speech to the Albanian Parliament.
Kitarovic has said that there is a good relationship between the two countries dating back to Venice. The Croatian president said Albanians are respected in Croatia.
She stressed that the Croatian state supports Albania's EU integration.
Croatia does not forget the sacrifice of Albanians, 2 years ago its association of artists was founded in Zagreb. Our friendship dates back to Venice, since there are no historical facts about conflicts between the two countries.
Albanians are respected in Croatia, in countries where they live and work. Saint Mother Teresa visited is Albania, a friend of difficult times. Minorities are the important bridge for the benefit of two nations. Albania has excellent prospects towards the EU.
We strongly support Albania's EU integration.
Kitarovic has arrived last afternoon in Tirana. The president held an official meeting with President Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama, while today, he is expected to receive the title “honourary citizen” from the town of Berat.
