Yahoo Messenger, one of the first communication applications on the market, will close service on July 17th.
Currently Yahoo is experimenting with Squirrel, a beta stage app launched last month and offered through the invitation system.
In recent years Yahoo has provided no information on the number of active Messinger users. The company says Yahoo ID remains intact for e-mail service. He also gave no specific reason why Messeng is closing.
