He has said that Kosovo's membership in this organisation would constitute an important step under parliamentary diplomacy.
In July, the decision to accept Kosovo as a permanent member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophony will be made in Quebec. To that end, I invited him to Kosovo, Mr. Jacques Krabal, secretary-general of the Assembly, from whom today I received confirmation that Kosovo has fulfilled its first accession criteria as a permanent member”, wrote Wessel on Facebook.
This membership would help Kosovo build relations, and promote it in countries that have not yet recognised as a state.
We remember that last week, Wessel has been in Austria together with a group of deputies to lobby for visa liberalisation. He has met with Austrian counterpart Wolfgang Sobotka, where he has received support towards European integrations.
