On Thursday (June 7th), a Kosovo Parliament delegation, led by Chief Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli, will travel to Austria and France later to lobbie for visa liberalisation for Kosovo
Wessel, along with representatives of all parliamentary groups, will require the removal of the visa regime for Kosovo citizens just weeks before the European Commission's recommendation for visa liberalisation for Kosovo is published.
However, now when we are only two days before the Kosovo delegation travels towards Austria, MPs say they are not informed which MPs will be part of the lobby delegation.
Kosovo Deputy Speaker Xhavit Haliti, for “Zrin”, has said that positive results are expected from this lobby, as besides visa liberalisation Kosovo needs support for membership in international institutions.
“Integration should all be in the EU, so the entire region. If this issue is orientation of Western and European policies, then Kosovo will pass this process along with other Western Balkan states”, Haliti has said.
