Switzerland becomes the first national to land in the Russian world with police. The nuclear representative has created a team of 5 experts who will accompany players to each exit. Their primary task is to ensure security, especially in so-called high-risk matches.
Swiss police spokeswoman Lulzana Musliu called on fans to feel safe as agents will not intervene in cases of arrests or riots, but will be there for any escalation of the situation.
Swiss police mobile group includes two agents named “Spotters”, experts in issues of hooliganism and capable of detecting dangerous elements and those who violate team safety. They will be operatives since before the group stage, and then in the matches expected to take place at Rostov Stadium on June 17th, as well as at Kaliningrad and Novgorod, days later.
The cell police team will serve to distance criminal elements as well as be a bridge between Swiss fans and Russian agents in the cases of mass fan organisation. The mission's duration, of course, will depend on coach Petkovic's national, but it seems that police are the biggest fans for the Swiss representative to go at least to the quarterfinals.
