Mark Ndoj from Puka has found an Italian friend like Massimo and a treasure of truth. From a simple immigrant to the survival boundaries, he today holds the fortunes of his friend, who is a successful entrepreneur at Italy's helm.
Mark Ndoj is one of the many Albanians who has tried to build life outside Albania since the early 1990s, when evacuation was the only hope of surviving a economically ruined country.
All his suffering has been rewarded because today he can be feared fearlessly as one of the most fortunate Albanians. When almost every opportunity to build the future had disappeared, he found a true friend who completely changed his life.
At “there's a message for you” on TV Klan he told the history of knowing Massion, a successful Italian entrepreneur in the field of hotels. For several years Mark has become his right arm, and the invitation to thank him on the program was the least he could do for him. But how did Mark's adventure begin?
Since 1992, he tried to track the same dangerous paths as thousands of other Albanians, illegally passing through the mountains toward Greece. Whenever he touched Hellenic soil, he fell prey to the torture of Greek soldiers. To never forget those bitter moments, three broken ribs turn it back into time whenever the weather changes or they make any physical strain. After 7-8 years of failed attempts, Mark decided to eventually give up Greece.
In 1999 he got married, and his son, Enrik, came to life in 2001. They say that the child is always good, but life in the village made Mark impossible to offer his son and wife a better future.
Under such circumstances, he was forced to borrow money and go with a gomone to Italy, putting his life at risk. He did not know where to go, nor did he know where to communicate Italian, but as a person who did not have what to lose left him for Rome.
For nine months he lived by his uncle's son, and every day he walked out to a square looking for work and always returned empty. Away from his family and his growing son, Mark decided to return to Albania, since he was unable to find a job as he hoped in Italy. Before that, he decided to give himself one last chance, try it one day, and then split his mind to return.
I would get up there every day at 5:00 in the morning and do two hours on buses that I changed until I got to the place where I would look for work. Before I went there, I drank my morning coffee without hope. Two hundred yards before I get to the place where I'm looking for a job, there's a bike at my feet. Are you coming to work? I looked at him as a surprise and he says again “are you coming or going to pick up someone else? I didn't even think about it. I took the helmet and I got on the bike. He took me to Colossae, where he was building a garage. He left me there and left. I didn't even talk. There were two Romanians, masters and I did their assistant, mortar, and cleaning. After two days of work, he comes and gives me the money and says hello to go. I thought I'd ask him for a job again. He told me that if you need a job, I have plenty. I told him that he did and he pulled out a letter and wrote me a hotel address saying you're going there to work as a dishwasher. I thought I'd tell him the truth that I'm a clanst, without papers and I couldn't work, but he tells me to go anyway. The next day I went to the hotel and saw that there was a five - star hotel in an area where V people usually lived. IP. I was ashamed to come in and call him. He told me to get inside the hotel, but I didn't go in until he came out to pick me up. I told the story of my life, the suffering I had suffered to come to Italy, and the decision I had made to return to Albania if I didn't get a job. He told me that everything's okay. Only death has no solution.
Massimo did not tell Mark first that he owned all that luxury hotel and thus spoke freely as two friends. Mark started working as a dishwasher, and after four days Massimo told him that he would work on a regular contract. A few days later, Mark chancely reveals that Massimo was actually the owner of the hotel and the person who could offer a permanent job. For another nine months, he continued as a dishwasher but still very pleased. One day Massimo told him that he would work at one of his locals in downtown Rome and introduce him to his family members.
Since then, Mark had become a trusted man, and Massimo helped him make documents and bring his entire family to Italy, his wife with his son, brothers, sisters, and sons - in - law. The tribe probably was “that was written” by the generosity of the Italian master, who offered them a future that they had not even dreamed of. Mark's loyalty and honesty at work led Massion to offer his son from Puka four years later to partner in his business.
Masimo's generosity reached its climax when he placed Mark's name between the list of his descendants, who would inherit their property.
I found an envelope with my name one day and since it was open I decided to read it. There I was speechless. He had made me part of the will, which he had divided into four parts, between my three grandchildren and me”, Mark added.
Looking at just a little bit of <x0... Massimo then suggested that Mark adopt him and thus be the rightful heir to his wealth.
Massimo himself had never had children, and this may have moved him to help Mark, who refused even that proposal.
All these episodes of Masimo's generosity caused Mark to address antix0> there's a message for you” in order to receive a message of gratitude to his Italian friend. In addition, Mark invited him to the program study to propose that he live with his family in the future, who will care for him as well as for each member of her.
Massimo is 75 years old today, and he seems to still not plan to age because the plans he has devised with Mark for the continuation of joint projects are not over. He showed how he helped Mark from the dishwasher become his partner, or the woman from the waitress became the manager of one of his hotels. His brother-in-law from the bricklayer has become the director of one of the best cocktails in Rome and countless other relatives who have been arranged by Massimo. Massimo owns four hotels, some restaurants and bars in Rome, where Mark's relatives are employed.
In his message to Masimo, the boy from Puka told him, among other things, that he had come to thank him for all he has done for him and to make a promise.
I'm here to tell you I'm keeping my word. Anything you need I'm ready to help you. You have the door open because it always remains your home. You can come to me”, go to the pimp 75-year-old.
He has felt the need to make such a promise because, according to Mark, his Italian friend has expressed skeptical that someone will care for him when he grows older.
Massimo greatly appreciated Mark's message and his willingness to repay in some form the tremendous help he has given him over the years. He accepted Mark's invitation to live with his family but, not for the time being, pushing it back.
The key to their friendship, according to Masimos, is Mark's honesty. He showed how early in their knowledge, Mark had found a bag of money and documents and handed it to Masimo, saying he would never refuse to touch anything that does not belong to him. This has been the right moment to convince Massimo that this humble Albanian deserved to be his friend and partner.
The 75-year-old also confessed his details and life, explaining that he once was also an immigrant, originally in Paris and then in London. There he met an English couple of Jewish origin.
