The Constitutional Court in Pristina has approved the Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor's request for the appointment of the detention measure against defendants Y.D., because there is doubt that the same has carried out the attempted criminal offence, ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons and criminal work, ownership, distribution, and unauthorised selling of narcotics, psychotropy and analogic substances.
The J.D. defendants have been assigned detention measures in length of 1 (one) month.
The defendant Y.D. allegedly attempted to deprive official persons of life during the exercise of official office, so that at the moment the police unit had gone to his house due to domestic violence, the same man had left the house and had fired three shots of the police unit and the moment police ordered him to drop the weapon and surrender, the YD defendant had escaped in unknown direction.
The court has found that the request for the appointment of the detention measure against indictees E. T is adequate and necessary in this phase of procedure, to ensure its presence in criminal procedure and unhindered development of the procedure.
The side has a right to complaint against that decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeal.
