As writes Élolou, Pacolli physically attacked a Serbian police officer with initial D. P, who had not allowed Behxhet Pacolli's uncle's son to park the car in a restricted area near the Kosovo Government building, Periscope reports.
Serbian media writes that Pacolli physically attacked the Serbian police and insisted that he speak Albanian rather than Serbian.
The Kosovo Police have confirmed the case, saying the MP is being investigated for physical assault on a public official.
“Around 1500 it was reported that the security officer at the Ministry of Justice until he was in charge of duty was attacked by an MP. Until the attack was allegedly brought because the MP has refused to apply the legal orders given by police officer”, Borovci had confirmed.
While local media have reported that MP Pacolli was arrested by Kosovo police because he has not respected the officer's order.
Following the news that he was arrested after his inaccuracy, Islam Pacoli himself reacted to his Facebook account, saying the report was a tendency to damage his image.
Honored Kosovo Republic citizen “
With the aim of right information of public opinion, I use the opportunity to expose the writing of some information portals that have dezinated the public by stating that “MEP Islam Pacolli has been arrested because of the contempt of order by a state official”.
Constased from relevant portals is untrue and as such, this is a personal attack against me with a tendency to damage my public image.
As deputy of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, elected to represent the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, I remain committed to continuing to strictly respect the Constitution, the laws in power, as well as the institutions of our state. At the same time, I call on the responsible persons to withdraw from such public opinion deinformations as soon as possible, Pacolli wrote.
For this incident, Milovan Drechun, chairman of the so-called Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, has said it is a testimony to the discrimination of Serbs in Kosovo.
The fact that Serbs are treated as second-class citizens, and institutions instead of defending their rights, endanger them. That's harsh behavior. An unacceptable thing and everyone in Kosovo must react, as well as international representatives. A policeman has been attacked only because he is Serbian and that he speaks Serbian. This shows best what future Serbian citizens would have if they lived in independent Kosovo”, Drawn told Hello, Periscopi reports./Periscopi/
