Prompt Minister Tahiri: Any property acquired by criminal offense will be confiscated

Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has introduced the draft Law on Expanded Compensations for Riches Confiscating, until it revealed how tomorrow this project will be handed over to the Government.

In this case Tahiri said this bill remains the most important in fighting corruption and organised crime.

He said any property that has been acquired by criminal offense will be confiscated.

This bill is among the most important in fighting organised crime and corruption. This bill conveys an important message to all who have been rich for years. I am convinced that by this bill we are making the final step towards those who have been enriched by criminal acts”, he said.

He said he is strongly convinced that the European Commission's recommendation for visa liberalisation will be positive, as he said, Kosovo has managed to meet the condition for sequencing property.

I believe the commission is satisfied with the report's assessment. We as Government, as institutions we have managed to meet this extremely important condition. I expect the recommendation to be positive because it has become very big work in the last six months”, he stressed.
