Pensioners to sue Government and Parliament
Representatives of pensioners have warned of indictments for the Government and the Assembly for human rights violations if they do not change the Law on State-funded pension schemes. This, as they claim, is discriminating and contrary to human rights, writes Koha Ditore today.
The remarks were made during the report before the Parliamentary Commission for Health, Labour and Social Health. At this meeting, they have asked for Article 8 to be removed, which concerns recognition of the work stage for several categories of workers. They have said that this article is discriminated against, because according to them, it does not recognise the performance of workers who have left work through Serbia's violent measures and that all categories are not favoured equally.
The pensioners' response has come after days earlier the Parliament adopted in principle the Bill for Albanian Education Workers of the 1990s, the Bill that regulates the status of education workers that contributed during this period.
