Pal Lekaj must be responsible for the 53m euros given to Bechtel Enka's

Journalists investigating the case say something is behind this amount and that Lekaj forgave them. The suspicious amount is also estimated, since the initial amount has been much lower.

Social Democrat Initiative MP Milaim Zeka says about The KP, that this Government cannot move forward without being placed in charge, ministers who have been directly locked in these things.

For Zeka in a poor state like Kosovo, taking in a 53m-euro company, everyone, the government as well as Parliament has had to be alarmed.

While, it says an investigative commission must be formed to investigate the case in question.

But politicians, according to him, do not prefer such commissions, since all are involved in these cases.

While saying that in Kosovo, the criminal system must fall.

And Zekirija Shaban, editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Infocus”, which has provided and the document, where they figure the mind-blowing numbers of reasonings made by the company Bechtel Enka to raise the check to 53 million, says it is about the largest theft ever to date, where Minister Lekaj, according to him, forgave Bechtel 53m euros.

According to him, the report they published had to publish for itself Minister Lekaj, as evidence of what was negotiated with “Bechtel Enken”, for the biggest scandal already known as 53.4m euros.

What is hidden within this report, as Shaban points out, are the corruptions between this company and the officials of the Ministry of Infrastructure, from the payment programme, the demand for detailed payment of workers' services and all those penal services that have been spoken to public, but have never been made public by competent institutions.

They're all responsible for Shaban, until they come out and explain the details, what's behind all these delays and documentation that citizens haven't seen.

He says this is a major scandal, which starts by former Minister Fehmi Mujota, then former Minister Zharku and now Minister Lekaj.

Shaban claims an investigation by competent institutions is necessary.

But before the investigation is made, institutions must make the contract public.

So it's about a bigger theft, so far, where all the political parties that we've known, we've had in power, starting with The PDK at the helm at the time with Minister Fehmi Mujota, who has signed the contract with Bechtel Enken. Without first including the payment program for the highway. Then Minister Lutfi Zharku, representing the LDK, who has accepted and requested the Government at that time extends the work schedule and finally Minister Pal Lekaj representing the AAK, who has given some form to 53.4 million Bechtel Enkes... So far we have heard from Minister Lekaj that we have saved Kosovo. But in fact, what you saved Kosovo for. You have saved Kosovo from a scandal and greater magnitude. Or it has been necessary to forgive these 53.4m euros. Until we have a convincing argument, from the side of institutions, it means that this insistence by Minister Lekaj, given to Bechtel Enkes, made us suspect it's forgiveness. We are seeing Minister Lekaj insisting to give Bechtel to Enke 53.4m euros, rather than Bechtel Enka has turned out and asked for those tools”, he said.

As it shows that in the report, which they have provided, price hikes are seen, which do not then correspond to the final figures released in the report.

Shaban further stressed in major contracts in Kosovo that have not been made public, there have always been doubts about the involvement of top state officials in these deals.

Infrastructure Minister Paul Lekaj has provided no answers to the issue.

And his Silver Adviser Zeynep said that Minister Lekaj is not here.
