President Thaci, cannot represent the Republic of Kosovo in the final phase with the Serbian state, because he is not mandated by the Parliament.
So said Democratic League of Kosovo MP Vjosa Osmani.
I have said before, that without being mandated by the Assembly of Kosovo, Thaci can only speak in his personal name and not in the name of the Republic of Kosovo, that is simple. Even if he hadn't made any mistakes in the past, the very fact that he is doing so would have to be a sufficient factor for political parties to exclude this figure from this “process, Osmani has indicated about “Gazeta Blic”.
MEP Osmani said President Thaci by his actions is showing that he is not serious, and that the leadership of this dialogue he sees as salvation for his political destiny.
It is showing his lack of seriousness, is showing his lack of preparation, and is also proving that he sees this process as salvation for his political destiny, rather than as the process from which he must make the best of Kosovo”, Osmani's statement concluded.
Meanwhile, during today, President Thaci at a news conference has announced he will go to Brussels to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
He confirmed that this meeting would be the first of the final phase, and that now is the time to reach a historic agreement between the two states.
Thaci has also indicated that this final phase is backing the US and EU.
The Thaci-Wucinq meeting will take place on Sunday (June 24th) in Brussels.
