Early presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey today have been held, in which close to 60 million voters chose the president of the state and the new composition of the Republic of Turkey's Great Popular Assembly.
According to preliminary results in these elections, incumbent President Recep Tayip Erdogan and his Justice and Development Party have won convincingly.
For elections in Turkey, 56,322,623 voters are registered, while among them are one and a half million young people who will for the first time be eligible to vote. Out of the eligible voting country, there are 3,047,323 Turkish citizens.
