Joe Jackson passed away at age 89.
The music manager, and the father of 11 children, including pop superstar Michael Jackson, and Janet Jackson, was being treated at a hospital in Las Vegas, reports The Guardian.
Jackson was said to have been in the final stages of cancer. He had previously suffered a stroke in São Paulo in 2015 and then several heart attacks.
His grandson, Ty Jackson, has confirmed the news of his death, via a “cycurrium” in his account on the social network, Twitter, online.
His fourth child, Jeramine, said of Daily mail, before Jackson's death, that his father had tried to stop visits from his family, not giving information about his whereabouts, and about his diagnosis.
They were allowed to see him on June 19. Nobody ever knew what was going on “, Jackson said.
