Israel's match with Argentina off due to threats to Mess

It all started on Tuesday when Jibrell Rajoub, chief of the FA of Palestine, said fans would burn the Messy photos and his fanfare if Argentina plays in Jerusalem.

And now it's the Israeli Embassy that has confirmed these threats and provocations that make them the star of Barcelona.

Israel's “Embassy laments that the friendly match to be played between Israel and Argentina on Saturday (June 9th) has been cancelled.

“Threats and provocations directed at Lionel Messin, which logically sparked the solidarity of his colleagues and fears of playing friendly are not unknown in the daily life of Israel's civilian population, where sports stars have simply been the targets of various violence and attacks in many cases,” is said in the Israeli Embassy's announcement. /Periscope/
