Media reports from the Balkan country suggest Milan's attacker has refused to behave and play as substitutes.
Croatian media “24sata” wrote on Monday morning that national coach Zlatko Dalic has made the decision after Kalinic, who was appointed among the replacements in Kaliningrad, refused to enter the final stages of the game. Speaking after the match, Dalic had told reporters that the team had ended the match without injuries, but “with a problem”.
Croatia's coach is expected to confirm the decision later today. Croatia's Football Federation has not confirmed Milan's ouster from the team, but Dalici is expected to do so on his own when he speaks to the media later today.
Shocking news comes amid visible talks between Milan and Seville, in order for the 30-year-old to go to the La League club next season. The Reds reportedly are demanding a fee of about 20m euros for Kalinic.
