Austrian journalist's reaction comes following Haradinaj's Mujarır indictment

Austrian newspaper columnist “Der Standard” Andaleid Wolffl expresses surprise how for some Gazmend Mujarır statements, released for the three years in which she works, they were translated into indictments against the head of the Peja municipality. Whelfl has denied to have distorted Gazmend Muhhajer's statements in an interview he had conducted with him in November 2015. He has said he does not understand the indictment filed against Mujahar by AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj.
Haradinaj had indicted Muhajer three years earlier, in April 2015, at the Criminal Court.
Haradinaj claims the Peja chairman has slandered in an interview with the Austrian newspaper “Der Standard”, in which he accused Haradinaj of profiting from oil business and lucky games, as well as for participation in minority cleanup operations.
In the indictment, Gazmend Mujajeri has stated that the interview he gave in November 2015 to the Austrian newspaper “has been misunderstood and has been misinterpreted”.
However, the journalist who interviewed Muhajer for “Der Standard”, Austrian Andaleid Wolffl, has told Inseder that in statements published in the article of “Der Standard” you don't see any elements of the indictment against Muhram.
I had a very good conversation with Mr. I don't even understand how he can be indicted for what he said. It was a very normal statement by a politician”, Whelfl said, when asked whether she has misinterpreted Mujarrir's statements given the Austrian newspaper three years ago.
According to Woelfl, what Muhaière said about the Austrian newspaper in 2015 is not “as little insulting and no defamatory”.
What he said was neither insulting nor slandering. There has been only one analysis of the political situation in Kosovo”, Wolff has stated in an interview for Thursday's Iseder. I find it very strange how a court in Kosovo is discussing such cases”.
In a session held Tuesday at the Constitutional Court of Pristina in connection with the indictment against Muhhajer, the case judge rejected the request for Austrian journalist Addelheid Welfl to be heard as a witness, while the main review hearing is scheduled for July 9th.
In addition to the libel indictment, Muhaxier, in November 2015, had also faced protests by citizens and war veterans in Pec.
