US Ambassador to Estonia James Melville announced he resigns, as he stated, is disappointed with US President Donald Trump's stance on European allies.
The announcement comes ahead of the NATO summit in Brussels on 11 July and 12 July, which is the most difficult, as President Trump claims Europe is exploiting the US by not making its necessary contribution to defence.
The US Embassy in Tallinn announced that the career diplomat will withdraw in late July, after completing the three-year post in Estonia. /Kosovo pres/
