The return to the U.S. Passat sale was the start of producing this model in American terrain.
Volkswagen has celebrated the production of a 700-mile car that has emerged from the Chatanug car factory in the federal state of Tennessee since the beginning of the production of this US limo in April 2011.
In fact, since the Passs for the U.S.A. market is produced overseas, an average of 80,000 vehicles are sold in the U.S. year until, before 2011, when the VW limo was exported from Europe, the number was half smaller, or a total of 40,000 automobiles.
But Passat's position in the U.S. is uncertain, since a total of 60,722 units were sold in this country last year, which represents significant decline compared to 2012, when buyers ordered 117,023 cars.
Volkswagen currently does not plan to end the production of Passat at the factory in Tennessee.
