This visit is intended to confirm our determination as Kosovo, for good bilateral relations with the Holy See, at the same time as a requirement for the sacred headquarters to accept Kosovo, recognize and establish bilateral relations. During our conversation with Cardinal Pietro Palolin, with his grace we can say that we have managed to explain, arguments that these relations can be strengthened, so it's a process and I'm optimistic about the future of our relations with the Holy See”, Haradinaj said.
Kosovo is also one of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union's attention to their journey towards the European family.
A few days ago, the joint summit between EU countries and Western Balkan countries took place in Sofia.
Prime Minister Haradinaj maintains that within the year the removal of the visa regime for Kosovo citizens will be approved and their free movement begins in the Schengen treaty countries.
Kosovo now has its visa liberalisation in perspective. I think we will get the positive assessment to achieve the criteria, then continue to negotiate or argue our achievements in separate countries, national governments”, he said.
During his stay in Rome, Kosovo's prime minister met with representatives of the community in Italy.
