The Kosovo Telecom Workers' Union has reacted after the latest statements by Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Luka.
“Sic is aware of the recent developments taking place in Kosovo Telekom and irresponsible statements by ZHE Minister Valdrin Luka, for us like the Unions, are not acceptable, intent and very degradative and unprofessional to all TK” workers, said in a communique sent to the media.
Among other things, they have asked Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to dismiss Minister Luka.
The reaction of the KK Independent Union:
The irresponsible statements of ZHE Minister Valdrin Luka, for us as Unions, are acceptable, intentional and very damaging and unprofessive for all KK employees.
Without knowing about the problems and clothes of the KK, without an analysis of how to get out of this situation where the company will be able to work with its own profit by reviewing all the harmful contracts: Z-Mobile, lease and retail contracts, lowering the expenses of the derivatives, the necessary investments for revenue generation, and the cuts that are still going on.
So we're looking for the Prime Minister. Ramush Haradinaj to dismiss Minister Luka for these unnecessary and debasing statements that have, in turn, increased the demotivatement of workers for work by threatening to cut off salaries and bankruptcy of KK.
In the SPP, we do not accept workers by threatening in various forms where workers are at least responsible for this situation, where the role of politics is known in all the EC and Bordee appointments where no one has ever claimed the responsibility for the degradation of the Company.
So if no action is taken against Minister Luka, we do not rule out all forms of protest, as the Dynamic Law of the Republic of Kosovo guarantees.
