Serbian media: Kosovo in UN, Serbia in EU

Serbian media report that the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia has been discussed at this meeting.

This agreement would make Kosovo a UN member state, while Serbia would advance faster towards the European Union.

Directors for the Balkans of four busy European states and the US official from the State Department are always participating in this meeting according to the media in Serbia.

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuciq, has expressed a final agreement this year.

Such meetings of powerful states are labelled as normal political anallis, Dusan Janjic.

He has said these talks are held at the time when Kosovo and Serbia are approaching the final phase of dialogue.

“In advance of the approach of the final phase of the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, which will be held at the highest level, representatives of the most powerful countries in the West will confirm the common position about the borders on which those talks” will take place, “ <x2-x3> quoted Janijq as saying.

When it comes to what their plan for Kosovo's future can contain, Janjic is sure that these states will not accept the partition of Kosovo, which is often talked about in Serbian opinion.

However, the fact that the last meeting has been held in Washington, for Janjiqi, is indicator, because, he says, this very rarely happens.
