New York Schools offer various language lessons to all who live in the United States and from yesterday, it is officially announced that part of the list of languages on the curriculum is already Albanian.
Foreign media report there are 60,000 Albanian residents living in New York, more than any other country, according to a 2015 Harvard Centre for International Development study.
More than half live in New York City, the Bronx, Pelham Parkway, Morris Park, Bedford Park and Belmont.
PS 105 in Morris Park will be home to the first double Albanian-language curriculum.
Bronx adviser Mark Gjonaj said he is proud to have worked on establishing the new programme. /Time/
