Former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri requires for the second time the removal of a house arrest measure issued by the Randa Criminal Court several days ago.
There have been Tahiri's lawyers, who have submitted their application to the Court of Appeals, where the latter has set May 28th as the date for reviewing that requirement.
Saimir Tahiri is being charged by the Prosecutor for Drug Trafficking and Postal Corruption.
The charges were brought up after the destruction of Italy's Habillas gang, where the name of the former minister also emerged on wiretapping.
On the other hand, Red Crimes Prosecutors are convinced they have enough evidence to arrest Tahiri.
After giving up the mandate, Tahiri has no immunity, which is not necessary to obtain permission in the Assembly for his arrest. /panpsy/
