Researchers learn from spider “Kim” to create micro-bots

Researchers from Manchester have trained a female spider where she has danced at different altitudes and at distances depending on the needs that were required. Using technology that reminds you of Hollywood's sacrificial movies, scientists hope to take a step forward in robotics. A robotic team from Manchester University has [...]

A robotic team from the University of Manchester has learned that a spider called a kingly spider has been studied by unique anatomy and behavior in which they fly six times higher than their body size.

Scientists say the biggest lesson in biomechanicals will help create micro-bots for the military and other purposes, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.

The little hero whose hopes are great to make the grand discovery was baptized under the name “Kim”.

Researchers lured Kim through the gaps with a nest with moss and water, making her jump at a different length and filmed these cross-speed surveillance exercises. They also through CT scanners have created the 3D model.

Research proved that Kim and her species spiders use different strategies for various jumps to achieve maximum efficiency. /Periscopi/
