Minister Lekaj said he received assurances from Montenegro regarding their responsibilities, that the works will be held.
He said further that politics has intervened in the issue, while aware that the works are being done outside the defence zone.
There is no need to worry, roads are to unite, but in no way will we allow one institution or priority to be affected by another. There will be no obstacle to the agreement we signed. The monastery is the culture of Kosovo, and Albanians have always protected it. It is inappropriate for Belgrade's politics to get involved. We're doing our job and we're going to continue like this, it was Lekay's statement.
