Pacolli provided finance to his wife from three ministries of halials in Venice

Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli has provided support from three ministries to organise the participation of a team from Kosovo in the Venice Bienalen.

Support has started with the granting of 10 thousand euros from the Ministry of Culture on behalf of the <x0 Foundation, which Maria leads with the Ministry of Environment and Space Planning to end with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which Pacolli himself leads.

trilateral support confirmed MPJ by means of a media report, but this minister has offered no explanation when specifically asked about the support offered.

The MPJ has been silent when asked whether the issue of conflict of interest has been taken into account when the decision to support a foundation that is guided by the minister's wife is being led by the minister, as it has not responded to whether it has been consulted in advance with the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency.

What is known is that Pacolli himself went to Venice when exhibitions were opened at the European Cultural Center to stay close to his wife.

But he was not the only government that had gone there.

Culture Minister Kujtim Gashi and Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Albena Resiti have stayed in the same country.

Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Wessel has also been seen at the event with his wife.

In MMPH, they have denied giving support to Pacolli's wife's Foundation, saying the ministry has supported only a few students.

“Fondation “Ibrahim Kodra” has received no financial support from MMPH for the exhibition at the European Cultural Centre in Venice. The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning has supported artists, architects, students for participation in the Venice Bienenalen, covering travel expenses for some of them”, the MMPH's response to Activress said.

But in fact, students have been part of Maria Pacolli's organization.

Despite the support Maria has provided from the ministry, which is led by her husband, including by two ministries that respond to her husband as well, the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency has not provided signals that she is investigating the case for “interest conflict”.

Actively, for several days in a row, he has been waiting to receive an answer from the AKK, but expectations have proved futile.

The issue of conflict interest has been sanctioned by special law. The Law to prevent conflict of interest is specified that during public office exercise, the high official is forbidden to influence the decision of any official or organ for reasons of personal or person benefit. The biggest sanctions set forth under this law are fines of up to 2,500 euros and the ban on the exercise of public office in length of three months to one year.
