Messy: I'm not interested in being the best in history

Lionel Messi says there is no interest in being considered the best “in history”, while there is no motivation taken from the personal battle with Real Madrid Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. During a remarkable career, Argentinians has placed himself in the hall of the greatest of all time. Many consider it, [...]
Many consider it, that it has arrived at the top of that table, because very few players are able to comply with its achievements, with a distinguished line of honour, including nine La League titles, four crowns of the Champions' League, five “Golden Top” and 552 goals for Barcelona.
However, Messi has remained humble and a player, who credits the team with all the broken records. He claims that he has never set out to provide personal trophies and glory.
He told “TyC Sports”: “I'm not interested in being the best in history. I've never had the obsession to be the first, nor the second, third, or fourth. Every time I start a new season, I just try to improve myself, win everything, give everything. Every time I go out on the field, I think I'll do my best for my teammates and myself. It doesn't change anything to be the best man in history”.
Much of Messi's career has been spent competing with Ronaldo for the world's best player title, with this due to having enjoyed a decade of dominance at the top of the football game. Both La League stars have been able to keep themselves at new altitudes while competing on opposite sides of “El Classico”, with standards that a few others can match.
Messy, however, has always insisted that he doesn't consider himself in a professional duel with Ronaldo, but with his ego coming from within. He added: “I always want to improve myself and don't compete with anyone, because I don't play to be the best in history. The priority for me is to improve myself year after year and keep winning”.
In terms of that, that you still hope to achieve an infinite extent of perfection, Messi added: “Of course, victory with the national team would be the best, because nothing has been given to us”. Leo Messy helped Barca win the title in La League and the King's Cup in this season, as he now prepares to succeed with the national Argentina, the 2018 World Cup, in Russia.
