This salary reduction, according to Minister Luka, will happen to save Kosovo Telekom from bankruptcy.
Public companies are operating a large portion of the losses. About 11 of the 16s, but most disturbing for the MZHE minister, remains the case of Kosovo's Telekom and Post.
Minister Luka in an interview for Kosovo Press said the employee's salary list at the moment is 27m euros per year for about 2,500 employees currently, much that is unaffordable.
According to him, the prime minister has openly expressed this idea, because bankruptcy has far longer-term consequences, including the dismissal of employees: “not to come into that situation, each part of the coalition, but also the opposition supports this”.
Minister Luka, among other things, has said there are other public companies that neither have service, the losses are continuous, such as Kosovo Railways, which have enormous problems because of the railway industry that is not developed.
Transport of goods is not large, and according to him, it is to be analysed from now on for continued employment.
The Minister of Economic Development has also talked about foreign investments that are missing Kosovo, which have taken on great momentum in the countries of the region. /Kosovo pres/
