The party's orientations, vows and commitments, the Social Democrat Initiative, are for every family in the Republic of Kosovo to get from an employee who can work.
So said Republika Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj during a meeting with the beneficial families of the Social Assistance Centre in the Gjilan municipality.
He said there are 149 families in the municipality of Gjilan in the second category, who have members in families who can work, but there are families with the health and material problems they face.
I guess what it means to you young people and my age what it means to go once a month to the shawl with the hand of getting a social aid. A social aid that doesn't even meet the minimum needs and requirements for your families. It's only natural that there are about 880 families who get social assistance, but they can't work, because of age, because of health conditions, and for those people, the state has to take care of those families all the time, but it's really hard for people who can work and have to go to social for 170,200 euros. What I can say to you is not postponed. Our duty is to provide for you, and yours is to be done. But much better is going to get 200-300 euros working than waiting on the scarf. If for nothing else, you new guys will rerun the work. Wise men have said: “When you shut down what you did to me, play the door, and don't stay” The duty of this country and that's why we're here to tell you, we offer you employment opportunities, you have to put on a job, I'm talking about young boys and girls”, he said.
Urging young people not to stay out of work if they are able to do so, Limaj reiterated that no family would remain without an employed member.
This is what we've decided to do and we're going to do on the side of Kosovo, where our commitment has been, and we haven't been averse when we've made it. No family in Kosovo is left without working if the boy and daughter want to work, and for that today we are in Gjilan”, Limaj stressed.
Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica stressed that today's meeting is part of the Ministry's project regarding the employment of a family member who has no employees and in concrete cases that concern the second beneficial category of social schemes.
He said that if there are professionally prepared in this category, but unfortunately not employed, it will be allowed to be included in public work and public enterprise under active labour market measures.
The ministry of labour and social well-being, within its responsibilities, drafts policies and oversees their implementation with the aim of your social welfare, but only drafting policies and monitoring them, we see that it is not enough. So we started this project, which goes beyond policy and this is providing opportunities for your employment. We are committed to respecting legal norms and therefore, unemployment in Kosovo will not only remain your sorrow; it is already our concern and it is our commitment to defeat” jointly, said Recica. /
