Kurti shows how the national union becomes, the meetings of two governments are viewed as propaganda

The national union remains in the Vetevendosje Movement programme, and with Albin Kurti returning to the helm of this political subject in Kosovo, the call for unity has become even stronger.

Vetevendosje's leader sees the union as a solution not only to security problems, but also to economic and political ones for Albanians in the two divided states.

But how does the national union become? Kurt says the movement comes from citizens.

We don't make the national union, but the national union makes us. Our bid is for unity, and I believe that there are many who want it. Make a referendum and place citizens”, he declares on this Thursday's Unexposed at Top Channel.

But Kosovo is banned in the Constitution of joining another state. Kurt criticises this article.

“We have been put in the way of the article that prohibits us from joining, such as Austria that is not allowed to join Germany. But, it did not have Albania Hitler, it had Serbia”, he adds.

The meetings of the two governments see more propaganda than real work in strengthening co-operation between Albanians on both sides of the border.

The “were ceremonial meetings, signing agreements but not sealing joint mechanisms. The amount of agreements is not being implemented. The possibilities are much greater, but meetings become more for protagonism than there is real interest and will. Remember, EU countries are much more united than we are in this regard”, says the head of the VV.

He makes a warning.

“Albania and Kosovo must be co-ordinated in the coming decade of the six Western Balkan countries to join the EU. If Serbia enters Albania and Kosovo one day it will block our integration”, he says.

His run movement in Kosovo is accused of flirting with Islamic extremism. Kurt denies it.

There's no flirting. We are political subjects that want a secular state. But we oppose Islamophobia, which is expressed by opponents seeking to replace Serbia's main enemy with Islam”, answers Albin Kurti.

It acknowledges that extremism remains a problem and says the VV proposed that all extremist organisations identified in Kosovo be placed on the list of terrorist organisations. It explains even though Vetevendosje rejected the law condemning all Kosovo citizens involved in foreign wars.

The “i contested because it is a universal law, because by this law, if war breaks out in the Presevo Valley, Kosovo Albanians are sentenced to prison for participating in”, he explains.
