Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have officially announced on Thursday Montenegro for ratification of the border demarcation agreement.
The news has confirmed for Radio Free Europe, the cabinet of the Government of Montenegro.
“We have accepted official information from the Republic of Kosovo for ratification of demarcation”, the Montenegrin government has said.
On Tuesday, Radio Free Europe reported on how Kosovo institutions had not yet announced Montenegro on the issue.
The announcement through diplomatic routes was provided through the agreement reached where governments were obliged to announce each other the completion of domestic procedures in terms of ratification of the border demarcation agreement.
Under the agreement, State Border Commissions between Montenegro and Kosovo are expected to form a joint processing body, which will be responsible for conducting state border demarcation between the two states.
Kosovo and Montenegro have signed the demarcation agreement in Vienna, Austria in 2015, until the Kosovo Assembly ratified the same on March 21st this year.
