Investigations are launched on the misuse of 8m euros at the Adem Jashari complex

For the possible misuse of some 8m euros destined for the “Adem Jashari”, which is under the management of the Agency for Management Memorial Confusions, the State Prosecutor has launched investigations.

He has made it known about construction. Pristina Deputy Prosecutor Ibrahim Berisha. The latter has not completely specified what steps have been taken, but all findings will become known later.

As he said, the important thing about this is that action has begun.

There's something going on in that direction, but I can't say right. We've been looking for a subject but we're not falling into it, but we'll check it out soon enough. We've taken some action but I can't say anything right now. But something has started in that direction”, Berisha said.

For misuse of the money allocated for this complex, it was debated after publishing the reportation “One morning it could open us with “The fallen Jasharat Tower”.

The Jasharai Towers are able by the crash, as a result of their lack of proper care from competent organs. And, for non-intervention in these towers as a rationale, new law on the Memorial Complex “Adem Jashari” must be adopted. However, that reason given by the Memorial Management Agency has been rejected by other domestic institutions and politicians.

While members of the Commission for Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development, the Bill for this complex have approved it with votes for all members, while abstained only Serbian List MP Srdjan Mitrovich.

MPs agreed that all be part of the commission for harmonisation of the law, until PDK MP Ganimetie Musliu said that this law must be adopted as soon as possible so that no interference in the Jashar family towers remains hostage.

If this bill is adopted in the Assembly, the government will be forced to allocate 21m euros to the “Adem Jashari” complex, tools not envisioned in state budgetary planning.

The 17 - article bill is expected to replace the 2004 Law with 9 articles, through which then the announcement of the memorial complex “Adem Jashari” was made as a space of particular interest. The status of the complex and obligations of Kosovo institutions for its planning, construction, defence, conservation, restoration, management, care and presentation is determined by the bill. The document also determines the expropriation of an area of 450 acres [450 ha]. The complex will be a special area of interest

On May 7th on this commission, Idriz Blakaj, director of the Kosovo Memorial Management Agency, had said that only after the adoption of the Law on Memorial Confusions would it be included in the Jasharean Tower.
